Board-Certification

Once a veterinarian graduates from veterinary school, they have the option of pursuing board-certification. This includes at least one year of internship, followed by a three year residency program within a specialized field of veterinary medicine. The veterinarian must publish in a scientific journal, and pass rigorous examinations to ensure a simple standard: only the best of the best earn board-certification.

Our specialists work in collaboration with each other, and with the emergency team and the multi-specialty team at our sister hospital, Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, to ensure that your pet receives the best medicine has to offer.
