Dr. Van Loon originally hails from Michigan. She received a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and then graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school Dr. Van Loon went on to complete a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey. Dr. Van Loon enjoyed her time on the east coast and joined OSVS and BSVESS on early 2014. Her professional interests include trauma and emergency medicine.
When she is not working, Dr. Van Loon enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, bad movies, and travelling. She loves living near the ocean and shares her home with her best friend, the amazing dog Teddy.
