Dr. Devon Young received her bachelors of music in performance from Ithaca College and bachelors of science in pathobiology and veterinary science from the University of Connecticut. She spent a few years teaching oboe lessons, studying ballet and tap, and working as a veterinary technician in Connecticut before Ithaca lured her back and she completed her veterinary degree at Cornell University. She completed the rotating internship at OSVS and is thrilled to join the ranks of the staff doctors of the Emergency Service, spending time at both OSVS and BSVESS. Dr. Young’s special interests include exotic pets and dermatology.

Dr. Young still plays the oboe (much to the dismay of her cats, rabbit, and fiancé) and tries to dance whenever possible. She also loves the beach, rock climbing, hiking, pirate museums, and running.
